Recent Research in The Prestigious Journal, Spine, Reveals A Shockingly Simple Way To Avoid Surgery!
Surgery Far Less Likely if a Doctor of Chiropractic is Seen First
The study published in Spine May 2013 sought to identify risk factors for surgery looking at 1885 workers, 174 of which had lumbar spine surgery in the last 3 years.
What they found was a very significant risk factor was simply which doctor the injured worker saw first after the injury.
The authors reported,
“Approximately 42.7% of workers who first saw a surgeon had surgery, in contrast to only 1.5% of those who saw a chiropractor.”
If the injured person saw a Surgeon before seeing a Chiropractor,
the injured person was more the 28X more likely to have surgery.
If you want to avoid back surgery, it makes sense to see an experienced Texarkana Chiropractor first.
It is very likely to help you get better much faster and avoid surgery which carries with it significant risk factors for long term problems and disability among other even more serious considerations.
If conservative care can’t help surgery may be an option, but looking at the results of this study it’s easy to see how little this actually happens.
