Movement Based Treatments Help Arthritis Pain and Stiffness!
We mentioned in another blog post that arthritis often begins with a trauma or repetitive traumas/stresses to the joint(s).
These traumas/repetitive stresses can cause problems within the joints and muscles controlling the joints which change the way the joint moves.
Over time, this causes ever-increasing damage to the joint.
Improving the movements of the joints that are dysfunctional and not moving properly is a great way to reduce the problems so many people have with arthritis.
Improve Joint Movement First.
This is what we do as chiropractors.
One thing though, some chiropractors restrict their practice to spinal problems and do not treat extremities.
Others, like Dr. Hagebusch, do also treat extremity problems that include shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles, and feet.
A few other things that most people don’t realize about chiropractors…
Going to a chiropractor isn’t like going to a McDonald’s where everything is the same from one to the other.
As mentioned above some chiropractors only treat the spine, whereas others like Dr. Hagebusch also treats the extremities.
Some chiropractors do not treat traumatic injuries like car accidents. We do treat many types of trauma here including whiplash injuries, sports injuries (that often include the extremities), and work injuries.
Some chiropractors help patients with lifestyle recommendations to improve health, weight loss, pain, and more.
This is something that we do every day at Hagebusch Chiropractic.
Some chiropractors, like us, help patients with rehabilitation, exercise, stretching, and home recommendations to help people recover better whereas other chiropractors do not.
These things are important because your experience with a chiropractor and your results will vary depending upon the approach to care as well as what you’re willing to do to fully recover.
Movement For Improved Mobility and Reduced Pain.
Once the movement is restored which can take some time, then we can move you into some simple exercises to further improve joint problems.
As a chiropractor, we realize that exercising a dysfunctional joint can cause more damage and accelerate the ‘wear and tear.‘
So the order of things that we do is very important for a person’s recovery.
This is why we often get great results with various musculoskeletal problems including arthritis even though a person had tried so many different things in the past that didn’t work.
If you have arthritis related pain, stiffness, and mobility then contact us at Hagebusch Chiropractic in Texarkana.
