Interesting that researchers found soybean oil up regulates genes involved in obesity, diabetes, inflammation, mitochondrial function and cancer.
Poor little guys. I guess they join so many of us and our families.
Soybean oil is the most widely used oil in the United States.
Soybean oil is consumed in massive amounts from so many commercially available foods.
Eating soy in general has some reasons for concern.
Soybean oil is a problem for many reasons, yet it continues to be consumed in massive amounts because it’s cheap.
It also sounds healthy for some reason.
This might be because the marketing campaign for soy has had such wide distribution that many people believe soy is a health food.
It’s also added to the category of ‘vegetable oils‘ with all the other industrial seed and grain oils that are a health concern also.
This is even though soybean oil is an oil from the soybean. Soy is a legume, a bean.
Our recommendation is to avoid it. This means reading all labels and knowing what’s in your food before you eat it or give it to your kids.
