Your posture has a huge impact on your ability to breathe deeply.
One of the things that we do at Hagebusch Chiropractic is to improve problems with posture relating to shoulder rotation, rib movements, spinal motion and strength.
We look at what is causing the postural change and address it with the appropriate treatment.
This is not a treatment for asthma. However improving problems with posture can improve your ability to breath deeply.
Posture Deep Breathing Self Test
You can test this yourself by bringing your chin to your chest while bringing both your shoulders forward and closer together. Take a deep breath and notice how much you can expand your chest in order to get a full, deep breath.
For comparison, look up towards the ceiling and pull your shoulders back. Take another deep breath and you’ll discover that you can get a much deeper breath.
One important thing when choosing a chiropractor, different chiropractors evaluate and treat differently.
Some may only evaluate and treat spinal problems.
Many chiropractors only treat and often only adjust the spine. Some only look at the neck. Others may look at the extremities or other areas, some don’t. Some chiropractors use therapies or various rehabilitation techniques.
This is why one Chiropractor may help you and another might not but is able to help others.
Dr. Hagebusch has spent hundreds of hours learning how our nervous system impacts our bodies (and vice versa!) to be able to evaluate what is causing the problems and understanding what it may take to improve the problems that people come to see us with at Hagebusch Chiropractic.
We take a comprehensive approach to improving how you move and how your body works to improve problems like is commonly seen with postural changes.
