Overweight children with fatty liver disease sharply reduced the amount of fat and inflammation in their liver by cutting soft drinks, fruit juices, and foods with added sugars from their diets according to a new study.
Up to 10% of kids and 38% of obese kids already have fatty liver, an indicator of liver damage leading to inflammation and is a precursor to cirrhosis (scar tissue).
It’s much higher in adults.
It’s generally not fat making your liver fat, it’s sugars that the liver makes into fats causing fatty liver and massive other health problems.
It’s now in our kids.
