“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.” Helen Keller
Halloween is the #1 adult party holiday… It’s certainly not just for kids.
We’ve got costumes, lawn decorations, home decorations, parties, junk food and more frightening feasting.
Reaching back into my distant childhood I remember growing up watching Charlie Brown’s “The Great Pumpkin” every year where Linus would head out to the pumpkin patch looking for Halloween’s version of Santa Claus, the Great Pumpkin.
Linus was an optimist, he just knew that this year would be the year, despite things not working out every other year he’s sat out there among the pumpkins.
One of the great things about kids is that they often do show that optimism, the belief that things are doing pretty well and will work out.
After all, that’s pretty much what happens regardless of current circumstance.
Try to spend some times looking at the positives, what you’ve got going for you… AND if you find yourself focusing on what negative things might happen… flip it around to think about the positive things that might happen.
It will reduce your stress and make you feel better!
