Take Care Of Your Spine This Christmas.
Last Christmas, we saw a lot of people who had spent too long sitting on the floor to wrap presents leading to headaches, neck pain, back pain, and hip pain.
Here are the top 7 tips to avoid “Holiday Wrapping Syndrome” – hey, everything is a syndrome now-a-days!
- Start early so that you don’t have to wrap dozens of gifts at once at the last minute.
- Use a table and avoid sitting for too long. Get up stretch and take movement breaks.
- Just like with wrapping, write Christmas cards in batches and take frequent movement breaks.
- Consider using some gift bags instead of wrapping every gift.
- Stay hydrated (with water!) and watch your diet to reduce cramping and inflammation.
- Exercise regularly over the holidays (and every other part of the year) so that you improve your muscle tone, stability, and resilience to injury.
- See your chiropractor! Too often people put off coming in for too long which means they end up with bigger problems.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Hagebusch Chiropractic Texarkana!
