Tijuana or Bust!
Fast Easy Weight Loss… Should You Go To Mexico or Make These Simple Changes To Finally Lose Weight In Texarkana?
There is a reason that so many people head North across the border into the US… but why are people going South across the border?
I was just getting my haircut in Texarkana by a very nice lady and she knew I was a chiropractor in Texarkana that had a good background in nutrition, so she started asking me questions about diet when the conversation took a surprising twist.
“My daughter is having weight loss surgery and we’re going to be headed down to Tijuana soon.”
I was literally speechless for a moment.
Out of all the things that I associated with Tijuana, high quality medical care and surgery… well, it just didn’t make the list.
She went on to tell me that her daughter might have (maybe) 100 pounds to lose and that, “She didn’t like diets. She liked pizza.”
OK!
“I hate to break this to you, but it’s not going to work,” I said.
“Even the gastric sleeve?”
“Yes, unfortunately, even the gastric sleeve.” I said.
Somehow going to Tijuana to have surgery is easier than giving up pizza!
Stop the madness, please.
I know it’s a bummer but any weight loss program that does not center around lifestyle changes including a good diet is guaranteed to fail.
Worse most other options will cause you to lose your health in the process especially if you don’t change your lifestyle… Lifestyle changes still have to happen.
Do not fall into the trap of thinking that you can have surgery, take drugs, or supplements to permanently lose weight without changing what you eat and your daily habits.
It will not work and will likely destroy your health.
If you want to know how to lose weight while improving your health then often many changes need to occur simultaneously including adopting the right diet, starting to exercise (most important for health and a great way to displace bad habits), making sure you’re getting enough sleep, and reducing stress (mental, emotional, and physical stress).
It takes this holistic approach, addressing many things to often make the big changes in health and wellness that allow you to lose weight almost effortlessly.
In many, there are other health problems that should be addressed that have led to weight gain.
These problems vary from thyroid problems, nutritional deficiencies, musculoskeletal problems, to problems with blood sugar and insulin.
The right lifestyle changes are even more important if you have some chronic health problem.
There are no real short cuts to health and weight loss. It takes some time and some discipline, but you can do it regardless of how many times you’ve tried in the past.
