Pharmaceutical exec guilty of bribing doctors to push opioids on their patients.
Insys Therapeutics founder John Kapoor was found guilty for a scheme to bribe doctors to boost sales of a highly addictive fentanyl spray which is generally for cancer patients with very severe pain.
The company founder apparently payed doctors millions of dollars in bribes to prescribe the very highly addictive opiod, fentanyl.
He also used strippers and other very questionable tactics to get more people on these highly addictive drugs.
This is just one example of how the pharmaceutical companies are not some big benign company that only wants to help people.
Drug companies are massive companies driven to make money.
As this proves, they do not always have ethics.
Drug companies are not always looking out for your best interests.
These companies with this type of behavior are responsible for driving our country’s deadly opioid crisis that is killing so many Americans and ruining other’s lives.
We’ve talked about some of the very serious problems with opiates on other posts, some of which you can find below.
This is a different situation though showing how corrupt a company can be without regard for the lives it costs.
