Is your diet setting you up to suffer the absolutely devastating effects of Alzheimer’s Disease?
It’s an excellent question.
Contrary to what so many think of Alzheimer’s disease, it begins decades before you ever have a warning symptom.
It should be noted that there appear to be many things that may lead to Alzheimer’s dementia. It’s definitely not only diet. Having said that though, diet is an important component for increasing risks due to metabolic changes that essentially allow areas of brain to begin to fail.
As much as we try to get away not eating better and exercising, science continues to drive home the point that so many diseases can be improved and even prevented by putting in some additional work to improve our lifestyle.
This recent report shows that reducing weight, diet, and exercise can help prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
Other studies have demonstrated reduced risks of Alzheimer’s disease onset with healthy lifestyle changes.
Finally and this is a really shocking one… there are papers showing reversal of Alzheimer’s disease with a mutli-prong, lifestyle change dominant treatment plan that also addresses underlying metabolic and inflammatory issues.
Alzheimer’s disease is terrible. It destroys what makes a person themselves. Destroying their brain and rendering them incapable of caring for themselves or even recognizing their family before ultimately death.
It takes a heavy toll on those suffering from it and certainly on their care takers and family. Anything that can be done to reduce your risks should be done and I would not wait even one more day before getting started. Your brain is far too important to lose.
