NSAIDs (including ibuprofen heart disease and heart failure warning)
A very important article for people that take pain relievers.
From an American Heart Association article…
“Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including commonly used painkillers such as ibuprofen, can trigger or worsen heart failure…”
In other words, common over the counter pain relievers can cause heart problems, including heart failure in certain people.
The article talks about other potentially problematic medications including over the counter medicines and supplements.

From another AHA article…
“The American Heart Association recommends taking the lowest effective dose for the shortest period of time required for relief.”
“Over-the-counter NSAID labels say if you take them for more than 10 days to see a doctor.”

This is another excellent reason to see a Chiropractor to take care of your pain rather than taking even over the counter pain relievers.
