Popular scented laundry detergents and fabric softeners emit hazardous chemicals through dryer vents according to a study published in the journal Air Quality, Atmosphere and Health.
Two of these chemicals are known carcinogens, meaning they cause cancer.
They are classified as cancer causing agents by the EPA… YET, they are in your laundry detergents and fabric softeners.
From the researchers…
“We focus a lot of attention on how to reduce emissions of pollutants from automobiles,” Steinemann said. “And heres one source of pollutants that could be reduced.”
Steinemann recommends using laundry products without any fragrance or scent.
Here's the million dollar question,
If the air is dangerous coming out of your dryer vents, then how safe is it to expose yourself, your family, and everyone you come in contact with every day all day to these chemicals?
No one, no government agency is protecting you and your family. They are not really regulating the chemicals you breathe, absorb through your skin, or eat on a regular basis. Chemicals that line the grocery store shelves.
