The American Medical Association Recommends Chiropractic Before Surgery For Back Pain
AMA Recommends Chiropractic Before Resorting to Surgery in a recent Journal of the American Medical Association article.
The article suggests that patients seek chiropractic and other conservative back pain treatment before considering more invasive measures like surgery.
This is a common sense approach that the safest, least aggressive treatments that are likely to help are used before moving up the spectrum of aggressive treatment.
The article says that surgery is usually not required for back pain and should only be considered when other conservative methods fail.
The truth is that even when conservative measures do fail, it doesn’t necessarily mean that surgery will help.
Surgery might help in these cases, but it depends on the individual and their specific problem.
Some cases do require surgery but…
Wouldn’t it make sense to give a reasonable trial of Chiropractic Care first before making the big decision to have surgery for a problem that very well may get better seeing a Texarkana Chiropractor.
So many people suffer needlessly and go through very difficult treatment without ever even seeing a Chiropractor first.
The big question is why?
This often happens because their medical doctor probably didn’t recommend Chiropractic to them.
This is often because their Medical Doctor is very likely unfamiliar with Chiropractic and why the FDA recently recommended that MDs find out more about Chiropractic.
Chiropractic Treatment After Surgery
In fact, we often help patients after surgery that are still experiencing problems that the surgery didn’t help or a few years after when the areas above and below the surgery begin to cause them pain and other issues.
Chiropractic should be the first line of defense against musculoskeletal pain.
