Health and Wellness Goals, Texarkana
It’s September already and football season is here again!
We are moving into the 4th quarter of 2017. Every January when we start the year anew, many people set goals for the upcoming New Year.
Far too often, many of these goals fall by the wayside as the year progresses and life starts to get in the way.
In football, often a team will find themselves significantly behind as they move into the 4th quarter.
When the losing team gets the ball with limited time left, they often employ a “hurry up offense.”
The purpose is to make up for losing the first 3 quarters and kick things into high gear, so that they might be able to pull out a victory.
They have one goal in mind, to score, and score quickly.
They employ this strategy to speed up the game.
There’s not much time to think, no time to huddle, just get on the line, and run a play. They will also resort to more aggressive play calling because they don’t have the time to be conservative AND what they had done up to that point in the game didn’t work.
Often the “hurry up offense” begins to move the ball more effectively due to the sense of urgency and the knowledge that if they do not, then they will lose.
It’s funny how life mirrors sport (or maybe it’s the other way around).
If what you are doing isn’t working, maybe it’s time to change your game plan.
Today, we are in the 4th quarter of 2017.
